We invite the public to witness the step-by-step creation of a traditional Sacred Sand Mandala--an ancient art form of Tibetan Buddhism. Mandalas are drawings in sand of the world in its divine form and represent a map by which the ordinary human mind is transformed into the enlightened mind.
Tara is known as the Mother of Mercy and Compassion. Embodying feminine aspects, she gives birth to warmth and compassion. She engenders, nourishes, smiles at the vitality of creation and has sympathy for all beings as a mother does for her children. Green Tara offers protection from all the unfortunate circumstances and is ever ready to come to our aid in time of need.
Traditional Tibetan Merchandise will be offered for sale: Excellent silver jewelry, pure wool shawls,gem stone beads and other items from the Himalayan region, malas, singing bowls, richly embroidered pillowcases, shawls, and items handcrafted by Tibetan refugee will be available for sale.
