Honor the memory of the Sandy Hook Massacre Victims

Please join with others at the First Presbyterian Church of San Pedro in completing "26 Acts of Kindness" to honor the memory of those who died in Sandy Hook, CT. Pastor Neal described this effort and compiled a one sentence biography of each victim.

26 Acts of Kindness

(A Gift for You and the Children of Sandy Hook Elementary School)

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." 
(Romans 12:21)

If you would like to experience the blessing of Romans 12:21, do one good deed daily for 26 days in honor of each person on this list.
Brief bios are provided for those who would like to customize their acts in some way,
but any act of kindness (buying someone else's lunch, picking up trash somewhere, drawing a picture for a
friend, etc.) will be good.  To keep track of your progress, circle one star below for each good deed that you
have done.  You might also wish to list each deed beside some person's name.  You may write in additional
names (for those you love) at the bottom. 


Charlotte Bacon (6)  was an "outgoing" child who loved "dressing up" and attending school.
Daniel Barden (7) loved bonfires, body surfing, and playing drums. 
Teacher Rachel D'Avino (29)  loved karate, cooking, animals, and photography
Olivia Engel (6)  loved drawing, dance, scouts, and sports
Josephine Gay (7)  loved riding her bike & selling lemonade in the neighborhood
Dylan Hockley (6) loved garlic bread, video games, and jumping on a trampoline
Principal Dawn Hochsprung (47)  was a "rising star"  who won a national grant for her school.
Daughter Cristina said "my mom was tragically taken from me, but she went down in a blaze of glory
that truly represents who she was."
Madeleine Hsu (6) was an avid reader who loved running and dancing
Catherine Hubbard (6) was the red-headed child with a gorgeous smile who loved animals
Chase Kowalski (7)   loved baseball & scouts.  He literally wanted his "two front teeth" for Christmas
Jesse Lewis (6) loved math, riding horses and playing on the farm
Ana Marquez-Greene ( 6)  The daughter of a jazz musician, she loved singing with her family
James Mattioli (6)  loved singing, swimming, omelets, and riding his bike
Grace McDonnell (7) wanted to be a painter.  She loved lighthouses, sea gulls, and cupcakes
Anne Marie Murphy (52) a married mother of 4, she tried to shield several children with her body
Emilie Parker (6) an exceptionally bright & creative child, she was learning how to speak Portuguese
Jack Pinto (6) loved wrestling, skiing, basketball, and football--especially the New York Giants
Noah Pozner (6) a joyful child who loved playing with cousins and siblings.
Caroline Previdi (6) was described as an "angel" who "will be missed."
Jessica Rekos (6) loved horses, whales, and playing with her brother
Avielle Richman (6) was excited to lose her first tooth.  She loved riding horses.
Teacher Lauren Rousseau (30) "wanted to be a teacher even before she went to kindergarten," according
to her mom
Psychologist Mary Sherlach (56) loved gardening, reading, and theater.  She ran toward the shooter with
her principal while trying to stop the violence.
Teacher Victoria Soto (27) moved students away from the shooter.  Some of them escaped.
Benjamin Wheeler (6) loved the Beetles, soccer, swimming, and the #7 train to Queens
Allison Wyatt (6) was a "creative funny child" who filled her family's home with laughter.
