Please take a few moments to watch this short video by Rhody Streeter. It documents a noontime event on Wednesday, August 6, marking the the 69th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. More than 500 leaflets were distributed to passersby at Thomas Merton Square explaining what happened in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and telling people what they can do to eliminate nuclear weapons.
More than a dozen peaceful volunteers distributed flyers and took turns reading excerpts from John Hersey's award winning book, Hiroshima.
